*lentos. Akin to Saterland Frisian lied (“thin, skinny, gaunt”), Danish and German lind (“mild”), Icelandic linur (“soft to the touch”). Not attested in Gothic. Some sources also list Латински lenis (“soft”) and/or Латински lentus (“supple”) as possible cognates.
