Etimologija

Latinized form of Germanski name suffix -lind, -linde (tender, soft), such as Sieglinde and Dietlinde, from Pra-Germanski *linþiz (gentle, mild) (Engleski lithe). Found in names such as Old High German Irmilinda and Old Dutch Frithelind. See lind, Linda.
