Etymology[уреди]
From 한 (韓, han, “Korea”) / 한 (han, “big, great”) + 글 (geul, “writing”). Coined in 1910 by Choe Nam-seon and Ju Si-gyeong.

- Phonetic hangul: [한(ː)글]
- Though still prescriptive in Standard Korean, most speakers in both Koreas no longer distinguish vowel length.
