Creates a definition line for an abbreviation.

Usage

# {{abbreviation of|מִכָּל מָקוֹם|tr=mikól makóm|dot=:|lang=he}} [[nevertheless]]

Parameters:

first unnamed parameter

the page to link to, of which the current entry is an abbreviation (mandatory)

second unnamed parameter

display form for the first parameter (optional)

third unnamed parameter

gloss (quick translation into English) of the first parameter (optional), for when the latter isn't English

tr

transliteration of the first parameter (optional), for when the latter isn't in the Latin script

dot

what should be displayed at the end instead of the default period (full stop)

nodot

Set this equal to anything (but the empty string) to override the default ending punctuation and display nothing at the end. However, the dot parameter overrides this.

sc

the (four-letter) code of the script the term is in

lang

the (two- or three-letter) code of the language the term is in (mandatory if not en)

nocap

Set this equal to anything (but the empty string) to override the default initial capitalization (Abbreviation) and display abbreviation. However, the capparameter overrides this.

cap

Set this equal to a (or anything else) to override the default initial letter A and have the value displayed in its place.
