ОписHenry VIII's expensive armour.jpg
English: Commissioned by Henry VIII, Swiss artist Hans Holbein the Younger (1497–1543) and the Royal Workshops at Greenwich produced this suit of richly-gilded armor for the King of England. Aside from another made for Henry VIII, this is the only armour to feature a ventral plate, which was worn strapped to the chest under the breastplate to lessen the weight on the shoulders. The photograph of this armour was taken at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. (https://www.metmuseum.org/, Arms and Armor: Armor for Field and Tournament, Accession number: 19.131.1, .2)
