Викиречник:Тезаурус/Формат
This page documents layout, formatting and the type of information included in thesaurus entries.
Page layout
[уреди]The page layout of Thesaurus entries is as follows, with most headings being optional:
{{ws header}} ==Language (such as "English")== ===Part of Speech heading (such as "Noun")=== ===={{ws sense|LANGCODE|shortened definition of sense 1 of the term}}==== =====Synonyms===== =====Antonyms===== =====Hypernyms===== =====Hyponyms===== =====Instances===== =====Holonyms===== =====Meronyms===== =====Various===== =====Notes===== ===See also=== ===Further reading===
Sometimes needed: {{ws header|word}}
.
The meaning of each heading is similar to their meaning in dictionary entries. For more details on their meaning, see Wiktionary:Semantic relations. The main difference in meaning lies with the "Various" and "See also" section headers. The "Various" section is for listing terms that are semantically related to the sense for thesaurus page, but don't fall into any of the other specific sections for semantic relations. This stands in contrast to dictionary entries where the "See also" section usually fills this role. The "See also" section instead is just for links to other relevant pages on Wiktionary such as other thesaurus pages, appendices and categories.
Lists of terms
[уреди]Under each section heading such as "Synonyms" or "Antonyms" there comes a list of terms.
An example markup of a list of terms, showing the beginning of a list, items of the list with terms and their definitions, and an end of the list:
{{ws beginlist}} {{ws|en|aggravate}} <!-- Definition omitted, as it is optional. --> {{ws|en|antagonize}} {{ws|en|badger|to pester, to annoy persistently}} {{ws|en|bother|to annoy, to disturb}} {{ws endlist}}
The current rendering of the above example markup:
The definitions given for the listed terms are optional.
A list marked up using ws templates as shown above is now rendered as a list. In the past, the option to render it as a table has been considered. Whether to render it as a list or as a table is a matter of changing the templates, or making their rendering customizable based on user preferences.
Templates
[уреди]Templates that are used to format Thesaurus entries:
{{ws header}}
– The page header, placed at the very top. It adds the category and a graphic header.{{ws sense}}
– The specification of a sense, placed within a heading of level 4.{{ws beginlist}}
– A beginning of a list of terms.{{ws endlist}}
– An end of a list of terms.{{ws|term}}
– An item in a list of terms.{{R:Roget 1911}}
– To refer to MICRA's version of Roget's thesaurus as published in 1911, in the "Further reading" section{{R:Moby II}}
– To refer to Moby II thesaurus, in the "Further reading" section
The templates for beginning of a list, end of a list, and an item of a list currently format lists of terms as three-column bullet lists, with tooltips of items showing the optionally given definitions. Nevertheless, they can be modified to render a table or a plain comma-separated list of items. The templates make it easier to change the formatting of the entire project should we decide on a better color scheme or layout.
